Billy Hamilton (thumb) activated from Reds' disabled list

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Billy Hamilton has been activated from the 10-day disabled list.

What It Means:

The Reds' medical staff was reluctant to clear Hamilton as the club shifts its focus to 2018, but after the speedy center fielder publicly said he felt ready to return, he's now back on the active roster. Hamilton suffered a fractured left thumb on September 6 and he may initially be limited to pinch-running duties.

Hamilton's 58 steals this season are one short of a new career high, and he owns a .248/.299/.333 slash across 600 plate appearances (132 games). numberFire's models project him to turn in a .259 batting average with 2 more steals over 30 remaining plate appearances in 2017.
