Mets' Juan Lagares (thumb) is out of the lineup on Wednesday
New York Mets outfielder Juan Lagares (thumb) is not starting on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins.
Lagares has some minor thumb soreness from a diving catch earlier in September, so he's just getting a day to rest. Nori Aoki is taking over in center field, while Travis Taijeron gets the nod in right field.
For the rest of the season, numberFire's models project Lagares to hit .263 with 2 runs, 2 RBIs, and 1 stolen base over 20 plate appearances.
