Danny Salazar set to start Thursday for Indians
Cleveland Indians pitcher Danny Salazar is in line to pitch Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Angels, reports the Associated Press' Tom Withers.
After making his first start since coming off of the disabled list on September 5th, Salazar has made a pair of relief appearances, tallying three strikeouts, one walk and one hit over three innings of work. He could pitch in that role in the postseason, but for now he'll make a start or two before season's end.
Over 17 starts and 21 appearances, Salazar has accounted for a 5-6 record, 3.68 FIP and 32% strikeout rate in 2017. He's projected for an 0-0 record with a 4.29 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 8-plus innings the rest of the season.
