Hanley Ramirez (biceps) expected to return to Red Sox' lineup on Wednesday
Boston Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez (biceps) is expected to return to the lineup Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles, said manager John Farrell.
Ramirez has been out of the lineup over the past week due to lingering biceps soreness, but he did work as a pinch-hitter on Monday, striking out in his first plate appearance since last Wednesday. The 33-year-old veteran is slashing an underwhelming .238/.320/.423 with 22 home runs and 55 RBI through 123 games in 2017.
numberFire's models project Ramirez to bat .273 while adding 2 home runs and 7 RBI in 49 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
