Christian Villanueva will make his major league debut on Monday
San Diego Padres third baseman Christian Villanueva was called up from Triple-A and will make his major league debut on Monday.
Villanueva will bat sixth against Arizona lefty Patrick Corbin. In Triple-A, he hit .296/.369/.528 with 20 homers over 454 plate appearances. Yangervis Solarte will move over to second base, and Carlos Asuaje will get the night off.
Villanueva is not available to use on FanDuel tonight.
