Hanley Ramirez (shoulders) out of Red Sox' lineup again Friday
Boston Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez is absent from Friday's lineup again versus the Tampa Bay Rays due to soreness in his shoulders.
Ramirez has been dealing with lingering shoulder soreness for a while now and he should be considered day-to-day as he misses a second straight contest. Dustin Pedroia is in the designated hitter spot and Brock Holt is at second base versus Rays right-hander Matt Andriese.
Ramirez is slashing an underwhelming .238/.320/.423 with 22 home runs and 55 RBI through 123 games in 2017. numberFire's models project him to bat .268 while adding 2 home runs and 9 RBI in 62 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
