Texas' Carlos Gomez (ankle) out again Thursday night
Texas Rangers outfielder Carlos Gomez will remain out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Seattle Mariners.
Tonight will mark Gomez' fifth absence in five games. He's been dealing with a bad ankle sprain and has yet to be given a timetable for his return. Delino DeShields will be in center field and batting leadoff for the Rangers on Thursday.
Having tallied 17 homers and 49 RBI to date, Gomez is projected for 2 more dingers, 6 RBI and a .244 average over 51 plate appearances the rest of the way.
