Chicago White Sox shortstop/outfielder Alen Hanson is starting in left field Thursday against the Detroit Tigers.
Tonight, Hanson will make his first start since September 6th and will do so from left field. He replaces Rymer Liriano and bats eighth against lefty Chad Bell.
The switch-hitting Hanson has a .241 average and 1 home run against left-handed pitching this season. He comes in at $2,100 for a White Sox team implied at 4.80 runs against Bell.
