Mets' Dominic Smith not in Wednesday's lineup
New York Mets first baseman Dominic Smith is absent from the club's starting lineup Wednesday versus the Chicago Cubs.
Smith went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in last night's start against Jose Quintana and the Cubs. Tonight, the lefty-hitting Smith will allow Matt Reynolds and his right-handed bat to oppose Jon Lester in Chicago.
Our projections have Smith down for 3 hits, 1 walk and 2 RBI over 14 plate appearances the rest of the year.
