Oakland Athletics outfielder Billy Burns was scratched from the starting lineup on Friday due to tightness in his leg.
The severity of the injury is unclear at the moment. Sam Fuld will man centerfield in his place and bat leadoff.
Burns, a 26-year-old rookie, has faired well in his first season in Oakland, although just 26 of his 138 hits have gone for extra bases. He's slashing .297/.336/.388 with 26 steals. We project him to post a .683 OPS with four more stolen bases the rest of the way, assuming the leg ailment doesn't force him to miss significant time.
