Mallex Smith sitting for Rays' series opener with Yankees
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith is not in Monday's starting lineup against the New York Yankees.
Smith, who is 1-for-12 over his last four outings, will be on the bench for Monday's series opener with left-hander CC Sabathia and the Yankees. Peter Bourjos will start in right field for Tampa Bay.
