Angels' Albert Pujols sent for treatment on sore knee

Los Angeles Angels designated hitter Albert Pujols was sent back to Anaheim on Wednesday morning to undergo treatment on his sore left knee.

What It Means:

Angels manager Mike Scioscia said he expects Pujols to be ready for Friday night's series opener against the Seattle Mariners. Mike Trout is starting at DH and Eric Young is out in center field for on Wednesday against the Oakland Athletics.

Assuming he doesn't need to miss time, numberFire's models project Pujols for a .269 batting average and .746 OPS with 3 home runs, 12 RBI and 9 runs scored over 84 remaining plate appearances this year.
