Angels' outfielder Eric Young Jr. will start against the Athletics on Wednesday afternoon.
With Mike Trout getting half-day as the DH, Young will take over in center and hit ninth for the Halos against Athletics' lefty Sean Manaea.
Young has produced a .731 OPS in 112 plate appearances for the Angels this year.
