Garrett Richards to be activated by Angels this weekend
The Los Angeles Angels will activate Garrett Richards from the 60-day disabled list this weekend.
Richards, who has worked just 4 2/3 innings in one start this season, may be ready to start Monday against Oakland. Richards has been sidelined with nerve irritation in his right biceps. Richards worked two rehab innings Wednesday for Triple-A Salt Lake and touched 98 mph with his fastball.
The 29-year-old Richards has posted a 3.60 FIP and 1.26 WHIP in 645 1/3 innings in his career.
