Yuli Gurriel (knee) not in Astros' lineup on Thursday
Houston Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel is out of the lineup on Thursday against the Texas Rangers.
Gurriel was lifted from Wednesday's game due to right knee soreness. It looked like he suffered the injury while running the bases in the second inning but he stayed in for two more innings before leaving in the fifth. He is day-to-day and will be replaced by J.D. Davis in the field as Marwin Gonzalez plays first base on Thursday.
Having accounted for 15 dingers and a .343 wOBA to this point, Gurriel is projected to yield 3 home runs, 13 RBI and a .289 average over 105 plate appearances the rest of the way.
