Byron Buxton lifted from Twins' victory after injuring self on swing
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton left Wednesday's contest against the Chicago White Sox after injuring himself on a swing.
After the game, Twins manager Paul Monitor said Buxton left after his hand slipped off his bat during a swing. He's scheduled for a re-evaluation this morning, but it's too early to say whether this will require a stint on the disabled list. The 23-year-old outfielder went 1-for-4 with 2 strikeouts before being replaced by Zack Granite in the seventh inning.
Through 113 games this season, Buxton is slashing .249/.310/.401 with 13 home runs, 38 RBI, 52 runs scored, and 24 steals across 402 plate appearances.
