J.D. Davis is out as Astros play Rangers

Houston Astros third baseman J.D. Davis is not in the lineup on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers.

What It Means:

Not only did Davis go 2-for-4 with a double on Tuesday night, but he pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the Astros and even struck out Shin-Soo Cho. However, after starting at short on Tuesday, Alex Bregman is playing third base on Wednesdaym so Davis is on the bench.

Our models project Davis to post a .250 batting average, with 1 RBI and 1 run scored over 10 plate appearances remaining this season.
