St. Louis Cardinals catcher Carson Kelly is not starting on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Yadier Molina is back in action after being a late scratch on Tuesday, so Kelly will return to the Cardinals' bench for today's matchup with right-hander Chase Anderson and the Brewers. He went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 runs scored in yesterday's matchup.
Overall this season, Kelly is just 6-for-33 (.182) at the plate. numberFire's models project him to record a .222 batting average in limited play over the remainder of the year.
