Mike Trout (neck) could return Wednesday for Angels
The Los Angeles Angels are hopeful outfielder Mike Trout (neck) will return on Wednesday night against the Oakland Athletics.
Trout hasn't played since Sunday when he collided hard into the outfield wall against the Houston Astros. Cameron Maybin has been starting in center field and leading off for the Angels in the past two games while Ben Revere worked out of the two-hole.
In 86 games this season, Trout owns a .318/.452/.646 slash and 1.098 OPS while tallying 26 home runs, 60 RBI, 67 runs scored, and 15 steals across 385 plate appearances (PA). numberFire's models project him to turn in a .313 batting average with 4 home runs, 15 RBI, 15 runs scored, and 2 steals in 94 PA over the remainder of the year.
