San Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges is starting on Friday against the Miami Marlins.

Hedges will catch left-hander Travis Wood and bat seventh versus Marlins southpaw Adam Conley. Luis Torrens will be available off the Padres' bench after starting behind the plate on Thursday.
