New York Yankees second baseman/shortstop Starlin Castro could be activated from the disabled list as soon as Friday.
In addition to Castro, the Yankees might get Greg Bird back as well. However, Castro is less likely to be back on Friday but he's also close to a major league return. When he does make the comeback, he'll surely return to second base, kicking Tyler Wade and Ronald Torreyes to the bench.
With 8 hits -- including a homer -- over 25 plate appearances and 6 rehab starts at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, numberFire's models expect Castro to add 3 home runs, 5 doubles and 12 RBI over the remainder of the season.
