Los Angeles Angels catcher Martin Maldonado is not starting on Thursday against the Texas Rangers.
Maldonado will head to the bench after starting the past three behind the dish for Los Angeles. Juan Graterol will catch right-hander Troy Scribner and bat eighth versus Rangers southpaw Martin Perez.
