Brian McCann at catcher for Astros on Thursday
Houston Astros catcher Brian McCann is starting on Thursday against the Washington Nationals.
McCann will catch left-hander Dallas Keuchel and bat eighth versus Nationals ace right-hander Stephen Strasburg. It's his first game since being activated from the 10-day disabled list. Max Stassi will be available off the Astros' bench after starting behind the plate on Wednesday. Juan Centeno was sent down to Triple-A Fresno.
numberFire's models project McCann to score 7.3 FanDuel points at a cost of $2,400 on Thursday in what will be a tough matchup against one of the best pitchers in baseball. The Astros don't have the most encouraging implied total (4.29 runs), but the matchup does feature a strong park factor (1.015).
