Ben Revere day-to-day for Angels with knee contusion
Los Angeles Angels outfielder Ben Revere is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Texas Rangers with a left knee contusion.
Revere was lifted from Tuesday's contest after fouling a ball off his knee. It's not expected to be a long-term concern. The 29-year-old outfielder is slashing .255/.292/.327 with 33 runs scored and 20 steals through 87 games this season. Cameron Maybin will start in left field and lead off the Angels' order versus Rangers right-hander Andrew Cashner.
numberFire's models project Revere to record a .267 batting average with 3 steals and 10 runs scored in 82 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
