Darwin Barney exits Blue Jays' lineup for Sunday
Toronto Blue Jays infielder Darwin Barney is not in the starting lineup on Sunday.
Barney is the victim of an odd defensive shuffle that will see a left side of the infield comprised Josh Donaldson at shortstop and Jose Bautista at third base. The Jays clearly want bats in the lineup over gloves. Ezequiel Carrera slides into the lineup leading off and playing right field.
Our models project Barney to hit .253 in 82 more plate appearances this year.
