San Diego Padres outfielder Hunter Renfroe is not starting on Friday against the Washington Nationals.
It's likely just a breather for Renfroe, who is batting .230/.285/.443 with 20 home runs and 47 RBI in 111 games this season. Cory Spangenberg will start in right field for San Diego while Yangervis Solarte mans the hot corner and Dusty Coleman draws the start at second base versus right-hander Max Scherzer and the Nationals.
numberFire's models project Renfroe to turn in a .246 batting average with 6 home runs, 19 RBI, 17 runs scored, and 2 steals in 152 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
