Stuart Turner on Cincinnati's bench in Friday's series opener
Cincinnati Reds catcher Stuart Turner is not starting on Friday against the Atlanta Braves.
Turner will head to the bench after going 1-for-4 with a strikeout on Thursday. He's 9-for-51 (.176) in 26 games this season. Tucker Barnhart will catch right-hander Sal Romano and bat eighth versus Braves right-hander R.A. Dickey.
numberFire's models project Turner to record a .176 batting average in just 19 remaining plate appearances this year.
