Jon Lester lands on Cubs' disabled list with shoulder fatigue
The Chicago Cubs placed starting pitcher Jon Lester on the 10-day disabled list with general left shoulder fatigue.
What It Means:
The Cubs are hopeful that Lester will only miss one or two starts, and it sounds like he could be back by the end of the month. Mike Montgomery will take his spot in the rotation.
Lester owns a 4.37 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 24.9 strikeout percentage across 148 1/3 innings this season while going 8-7 in 26 starts.
