Chicago Cubs outfielder Jon Jay is not starting on Friday against the Toronto Blue Jays.
After going 3-for-5 with a single, a double, and a triple on Monday, Jay proceeded to go 0-for-8 in his next two starts. He's hitting .290 with 25 RBI and 42 runs scored in 301 plate appearances (102 games) this season. Albert Almora will start in center field and lead off the Cubs' order in Friday's series opener versus Blue Jays southpaw J.A. Happ.
