New York Yankees outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury is not starting on Thursday against the New York Mets.
Ellsbury will head to the bench after making back-to-back starts for the Yankees. In limited work this season, the 33-year-old outfielder owns a .240 batting average (BA) and .687 OPS with 6 home runs and 16 steals over 75 games. Brett Gardner will start in left field and lead off versus Mets left-hander Steven Matz.
