Brandon Drury not starting for Diamondbacks versus Houston
Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Brandon Drury is not starting on Thursday against the Houston Astros.
Daniel Descalso will move over to second base for the Diamondbacks while Drury grabs a seat on the bench for today's series finale against right-hander Mike Fiers and the Astros. He went 1-for-4 with an RBI double on Wednesday, and now owns a .271/.326/.437 slash and 48 RBI overall on the season (102 games). Paul Goldschmidt will start at first base and bat cleanup for Arizona while J.D. Martinez handles DH duties in David Peralta's return from paternity leave.
numberFire's models project Drury to turn in a .281 batting average with 4 home runs, 16 RBI, 15 runs scored, and 132 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
