Angels pull Ricky Nolasco from Wednesday start
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco left his start Wednesday against the Washington Nationals with a trainer.
Nolasco was pulled with a 2-2 count on Washington catcher Jose Lobaton, though his pitch total was up to 112 so it might not have been injury-related.
Nolasco allowed two earned runs on five hits and three walks over 5 2/3 innings pitched today. Before today, our models projected him for a 4.95 ERA, 15.8 percent strikeout rate, and 6.4 percent walk rate in 47 1/3 more innings pitched this year.
