Oakland's Bruce Maxwell is sitting on Wednesday
Oakland Athletics catcher Bruce Maxwell is sitting ahead of Wednesday's game against the Kansas City Royals.
Maxwell has been the team's primary catcher of late and has started five straight games as such. However, he'll take a routine day off as Dustin Garneau provides his knees with a rest Wednesday afternoon.
numberFire's algorithms project Maxwell for 1 home run, 6 RBI and a .233 average over 69 plate appearances the rest of the 2017 season.
