Los Angeles Angels infielder Cliff Pennington is not starting on Wednesday against the Washington Nationals.
One day after smacking his second home run of the season, Pennington will grab a seat on the bench for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Tanner Roark and the Nationals. Kaleb Cowart will draw the start at second base and bat seventh for the Halos.
numberFire's models project Pennington to record a .226 batting average in 59 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
