Nationals Trea Turner (wrist) took live BP on Tuesday

Washington Nationals shortstop Trea Turner took live batting practice on Tuesday, according to MASN Sports' Mark Zuckerman.

What It Means:

Having already returned to fielding, throwing and running, this was the first time Turner's gone through batting practice since fracturing his right wrist on June 29th. He will now turn his attention toward a rehab assignment as he's on track for a late August return. For the time being, Wilmer Difo will continue to man short for the Nationals.

numberFire's models project the 24-year-old Turner for 2 home runs, 10 RBI and a .305 batting average over 90 plate appearances the rest of the year.
