David Peralta (paternity) expected back Thursday for Diamondbacks
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta (paternity) is likely to return on Thursday, said manager Torey Lovullo.
Peralta was placed on the paternity leave list on Sunday following the birth of his daughter. Chris Herrmann will start in left field on Tuesday against the Houston Astros while Ketel Marte leads off the order versus right-hander Brad Peacock.
In 103 games (421 plate appearances) this season, Peralta is slashing .303/.359/.470 with a .829 OPS while recording 12 home runs, 41 RBI, 64 runs scored, and 7 steals. numberFire's models expect him to turn in a .287 average with 4 home runs, 17 RBI, 22 runs scored, and 4 steals in 164 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
