Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Robbie Ray (concussion) will begin his High-A rehab assignment on Thursday.
What It Means:
Ray has been sidelined since taking a line drive to the head on July 28, and if all goes smoothly he looks on track to return to big league action as early as next week.
numberFire's models project Ray to post a 4.01 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 23.9% strikeout rate in 16 innings over the remainder of the season.
