Astros place Brian McCann (knee) on the disabled list
The Houston Astros have placed catcher Brian McCann on the 10-day disabled list with right knee soreness.
The team didn't give much more information other than that, so hopefully the veteran can be back soon after his 10 days on the DL are up. The Astros called up catcher Max Stassi to take McCann's place on the active roster. Evan Gattis is also not ready to come back from his stint in the concussion DL, so Stassi should get some run with the big club while McCann and Gattis are out.
Before going down with injury, our models projected McCann for a .248 batting average, with 5 home runs, 16 RBI, and 14 runs scored over 126 plate appearances remaining this season.
