San Diego Padres catcher Luis Torrens is not starting on Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Torrens will return to the bench while Austin Hedges starts behind the plate in Monday's series opener against right-hander Jerad Eickhoff and the Phillies. He went 0-for-3 while striking out twice in Sunday's start.
numberFire's models project Torrens to record a .214 batting average in 46 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
