Denard Span is not playing in Game 1 of the Giants' Sunday doubleheader
San Francisco Giants outfielder Denard Span is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader with the Washington Nationals.
Span is getting a breather in the matinee and is likely to get the nod for the nightcap on Sunday. Gorky Hernadez will be in center field Sunday afternoon.
Our models project Span for a .273 batting average, 18 runs scored, and 4 steals in 157 plate appearances the rest of the season.
