Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria is sitting out on Saturday against the Cleveland Indians.
What It Means:
Longoria suffered a thumb injury during Friday's game, and the team will keep him off the field at least for a game. However, Longoria is available to pinch hit, so expect him back in the lineup soon. Trevor Plouffe is starting at third on Saturday and hitting seventh against Mike Clevinger.
