Mets' Jacob deGrom (triceps) has X-rays come back negative

New York Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom has been diagnosed with a right triceps contusion.

What It Means:

deGrom was hit in the arm by a hard line drive on Thursday, but he seems to be okay, and is still expected to make his next scheduled start on Tuesday.

deGrom has a 3.21 ERA, 3.44 SIERA and 29.2% strikeout rate through 23 games in 2017. numberFire's models project him for a 3.28 ERA, 24.8% strikeout rate and 1.17 WHIP in 25 innings of work over the remainder of the season.
