Eric Thames out for Brewers on Thursday
Milwaukee Brewers first baseman/outfielder Eric Thames is not starting on Thursday against the Minnesota Twins.
This will be the second absence in three nights for a struggling Thames, who has gone 2-for-23 (.087) over his last six contests. Jesus Aguilar will get the start at first base and bat fifth versus Twins left-hander Dietrich Enns. Thames will likely continue to sit against southpaws unless he starts raking on a consistent basis.
numberFire's models project Thames to record a .255 batting average with 8 home runs, 24 RBI, and 25 runs scored in 179 plate appearances over the remainder of the season.
