Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Johan Camargo is on the shelf with a knee injury, so Swanson will return to the big league roster to fill the void. He figures to see regular starts at shortstop while Camargo is out. The 23-year-old shortstop slashed just .237/.356/.342 in 11 games at Triple-A after being sent down on July 26.
Swanson recorded a disappointing .213/.287/.312 slash with 6 homers, 35 RBI, and 36 runs scored in 362 plate appearances (95 games) prior to the demotion.
