Johan Camargo (knee) lands on Braves' 10-day disabled list
Atlanta Braves infielder Johan Camargo has been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to a right knee bruise.
Camargo fell to the ground after leaping over the first base line as the Braves were taking the field before Tuesday night's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. He needed to be helped back to the dugout and was immediately replaced by Jace Peterson. The 23-year-old rookie is expected to miss at least a couple weeks. Dansby Swanson was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the void in the infield for Atlanta.
Camargo has been enjoying a successful rookie season, slashing .292/.327/.454 with a .329 wOBA and 26 runs scored in 197 plate appearances (64 games) this season.
