Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Valbuena is not starting on Friday against the Oakland Athletics.
Yunel Escobar (back) is back on third base for the Angels while C.J. Cron will draw the nod at first, sending Valbuena to the pine after four consecutive starts -- a span in which he went only 1-for-13 (.077).
