The Chicago Cubs recalled pitcher Rob Zastryzny from Triple-A Iowa on Friday.
Zastryzny, who made just one appearance in a brief stint in the majors earlier this season, will serve as a long relief man for the Cubs as they send Addison Russell (foot) to the disabled list.
In his time at Triple-A Iowa, the lefty has gone 1-1 in 3 starts and 10 appearances. He has pitched to a 4.99 FIP with 21 strikeouts across 27 innings.
