Cubs place Addison Russell (foot) on 10-day DL
The Chicago Cubs have placed shortstop/second baseman Addison Russell on the club's 10-day disabled list with a right foot sprain.
The move is retroactive to August 3rd, but it is uncertain how long Russell will be down. While he's out, Javier Baez should see more time in the middle infield. In a corresponding move, the Cubs recalled pitcher Rob Zastryzny from Triple-A Iowa.
numberFire's models expect Russell to produce 6 home runs, 9 doubles and 23 RBI in 179 plate appearances the remainder of the season.
