Chad Kuhl, Pirates shutout Reds on Thursday
Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Chad Kuhl spun seven shutout innings on Thursday in a 6-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
Kuhl gave up 4 hits while walking 2 and striking out 6, improving his record to 4-7 on the year (22 starts). He's now allowed two or fewer runs in six of his last seven outings, bringing his ERA down to 4.53 for the season. Next up for the 24-year-old right-hander is a date with the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.
