Arizona Diamondbacks utility player Daniel Descalso is not starting on Thursday versus the Chicago Cubs.
Brandon Drury will take over at second base after Descalso got the starting nod in the last two contests for Arizona. He's 1-for-13 (.077) over his last four games.
For the season, Descalso is slashing .239/.346/.404 with 6 home runs and 38 RBI in 257 plate appearances (85 games). numberFire's models project him to record a .246 average with 3 homers and 15 RBI in 132 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
